The best wedding venues on the Mornington Peninsula

After capturing 400+ weddings on the Mornington Peninsula I thought I would write a blog post about our favourite venues. We feel so blessed to live in such a wonderful place where everything is at our doorstep: secluded beaches, wineries, barns, you name it! When getting married on the Mornington Peninsula there are so many options!! This is why it is such a popular destination for both local and overseas / interstate couples who opt for a destination wedding.

So here we go!

Stillwater At Crittenden

Stillwater at Crittenden is our favourite wedding venue for several reasons.

This venue is located at the foot of Red Hill and it showcases a modern vineyard restaurant with the best of seasons produce in a truly beautiful setting. Stillwater is definitely one of the Peninsula’s finest dining both indoors and out.

This venue is just magnificent! There’s a beautiful lake where couple can stroll admiring the sunset; the venue is surrounded by wineries that offer plenty of photo opportunities and there’s a grand tree-lined entrance, perfect for bridal party and car shots!

Another perk is that brides can get ready at the villas, the prettiest lake houses with the most stunning view. Our brides love getting ready 1 minute away from their ceremony and reception venue (everything is literally there!) and also going back to the villa when the reception is finished: no driving needed!

Finally: the food and organisation! Stillwater is always super organised. The timeline is never running late and the food is just delicious!

All Smiles Sorrento

Another favourite of mine is definitely All Smiles. This venue is located two minutes from Sorrento’s main street and it offers a contemporary venue overlooking Sorrento’s back beach, located on Victoria’s wonderful South East Coast.

But what makes this venue is without a doubt the view! Boasting 180 degree views of the ocean, this function room and wedding venue will just leave you speechless! The big secluded beach, the rocks and that stunning sunset always offer the perfect backdrop for stunning photos.

The reception is a canapés affair, so this venue is ideals for couples who are more laid back and enjoy to party!

Lindenderry

I don’t know if it is the sophisticated food, the rose gardens, or the twinkling lights under the pine trees.. or maybe it’s the vines. No matter what it is, Lindenderry is such a beautiful and sophisticated venue! Rich of photo opportunities!

Lindenderry is located in the heart of Red Hill and it offers accommodation, ceremony and reception surrounded by 34 acres of vineyards and gardens. How stunning!

You read it right, Lindenderry also offers accommodation on site so it is perfect if you don't want to drive anywhere. Everything can take place there: from the getting ready part of the day to the dancing late at night.

Tanglewood Estate

Tanglewood is a new venue on the Mornington Peninsula but already extremely popular. Couples love this venue because of the wooden chapel, the lake, the Australian native gumtree forest, the extensive grounds and of course the barn where you can have your reception.

Tanglewood also offers accomodation on site for the couple! This venue is a definite must-see!

The Baths

Located in Sorrento, The Baths is the perfect venue if you wish to have a beach, yet sophisticated wedding. For the relaxed couples who want an elegant, beach-vibe venue this is the place for you! The venue has wonderful views and a quaint dock at the front.

Baxter Barn

Last but not least Baxter Barn. This venue is perfect for the most laid back couples who want to get married in a barn, with the most rustic and laid back setting. This venue has beautiful rose gardens, a lake, a pine forest and extensive grounds for wedding images. You can also decide to either have a sit down dinner under the stars or canapés inside the barn.
